Biennale Well the workshop I did the other weekend was part of the Ballarat International Foto Biennale. And apparently the classess work has been put on display at the train station in the centre of Ballarat. Im not too clear on what time its open till, but its open from 10am every day for a week or so (Im really not clear on the details, but if its interests, note me).
Edit: We went on Sunday to have a look at all the projections at the railway station and see my work from the workshop weekend (also ran into one of the girls from the class). We walked into the building and found no video display but some gimp playing with his shitty old PS2 on the big screen meant for the 3 DVD biennale presentations...
We had to walk back into town to talk to the biennale people and they were really not impressed that one of their volunteers was doing such a thing.
Me?Well tomorrow were off to a motorbike show and to do some family portraits! So expect me to dump cards Saturday night!
A wedding to attend the next weekend.
In the meantime, the house we rent is up for sale... So you can imagine what that means, invasive inspections regularly. Apparently Im not very good at real estate photography too! Ive actually spent a lot of time cleaning the place lately which has put a lot of work on hold (for people who will profit from it and not give half a shit that we did it for them, for nothing). We were not planning on this taking place. What I was planning on doing in the time before October was to actually sit down and work on the photography business on the side. With my regular work, life, photos and now maintaining the house to the extreme, Ive run out of time. I get my life back in January 2010...
Now that its October I have an instruction manual for an upcoming Continental VDO product then the company catalogue which I may be completely redesigning and transferring to Adobe InDesign CS4 (bundled with Design Standard). So their may just be a lot less photography, but I will be learning Adobe InDesign CS4 inside and out (hopefully)...
Ill try to shoot the shit out of anything I can in the next two months but I feel like work is going to consume me again this year. I hope that this year I get more from it and push myself into a new direction, since I cant physically get my photography off the ground right now, Ill have to stay on where I am if Im still wanted. But if anything turns up in the next couple of months I WILL make the time
Bike...Ill have to go for my motorbike license in the next 2 months as well hopefully. That means 1 more year of restrictions, after that I can have a pillion and ride anything I want (something Im not shitscared of R6/CBR etc... ) Ive been having a ball on the Honda lately, apart from the fact its a gutless, carbureted, single cam turd and easily affected by a slight crosswind, Ive still been having fun dodging Volvos and old ladys in Camrys! Seriously time to get a bigger better bike!!!
